This Volunteer Opportunity is only for employees of BMI.
The DG PENCIL Box is Nashville's Free Teacher Store. In the spirit of Teacher Appreciation Week, we will be delivering backpacks filled with supplies directly to the schools all week!
At this preparatory event, volunteers will pack bags for distribution at two BMI Volunteer Week events later in the week. With additional time, we'll make diy fidget toys, cutout shapes for bulletin boards, or create flash cards for the PENCIL Box.
- What to wear/bring: Volunteers should wear
closed toed shoes and comfortable clothing. We will have water bottles
available for you, but you are welcome to bring your own reusable bottle.
- Parking: is available in
designated volunteer parking spots or our back lot. When you turn into
PENCIL’s driveway, follow the sign to the access road to the left. It will
take you to a gravel lot where you can park.
- Entrance: From the gravel lot –
walk across the bridge towards the warehouse. The door that you will enter
through will be the last door to the right. It has our logo on it and says
“Welcome.”
- Check-in: will be with Robert
Moxley as you come into the building. Volunteers may be asked to scan a
QR code to sign in and we will get them started on their projects.
